Hudson History are based in Settle, North Yorkshire and publish a number of Journals dealing with local history, archaeology, family history and heritage topics. The content is designed to appeal to a broad readership, experts and amateurs alike. The journals exist to publish new work by new or established writers, including articles that are not always considered suitable for the ‘glossies’ or academic journals.

Yorkshire History Quarterly

Looks at material relevant to the North, East & West Ridings of the ancient County of Yorkshire.

Lancashire History Quarterly

Deals with subjects within the old County Palatine of Lancashire.

Industrial Heritage Journal

Contains articles and news items concentrate on Industrial History and Archaeology in the UK, again the content is designed to appeal to a wide readership.

Northern Vernacular Buildings Journal

Covers the vernacular buildings of the northern counties of England, including farms, mills, workers houses as well as the yeomen’s and grander houses.

Drop-in centre

Hudson History also provides facilities for the North Craven Historical Research Group, working with individuals, organisations and schools, and run a "drop-in" centre where the public can report finds, have Local Study queries answered or search the digital archives which contain primary and secondary study materials relevant to the history of townships in the area.
